When taking items from the bedroom to the washer make sure to put everything in a plastic bag, not reusable cloth bags or plastic hampers with vents, these types of items help bed bugs spread whereas a plastic bag can be thrown away after use and bed bugs can’t stick to plastic the way they do cloth.
